Your Existing Warranties

Using PECAT brand filters correctly will not affect any existing warranties on your vehicle or equipment.

Our Promise to You

We guarantee that PECAT brand filters are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period specified below:

12 MONTHS OR 10,000 KM – WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST

If your filter is found to be defective during this period, we will either replace it with a new PECAT FILTER or cover the reasonable costs of repairing your engine or equipment, provided the damage is solely due to the defective filter.

Correct Filter Use

This warranty applies only if the filter used matches the correct vehicle listed in our resources (website).
It is your responsibility to ensure the correct filter is used for your application.
We may need to inspect the filter, engine, or equipment to verify that the correct filter was used.

How to Get Warranty Service

If you discover any damage, you must file a claim within 14 days with any PECAT representative, distributor, or directly with us. We may need to inspect the filter, engine, equipment, and your service records to determine the cause and extent of the damage.

What’s Not Covered (Filters)

Filters that cannot be tested or evaluated, such as those that have been disassembled.
Filters used in incorrect or non-approved applications.
Filters used in racing, on modified high-performance engines, or in aircraft.
Damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, accidents, or abuse.
Damage resulting from the use of the wrong type of motor oil.
Repair costs not directly related to the defective filter.
Towing fees, rental cars, or other additional expenses

Important Legal Information

This warranty is the only warranty we provide and limits our liability in the event of a problem.
We are not liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages such as loss of use of your
engine or equipment, loss of time, or inconvenience.
The duration of implied warranties (such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) is
limited to the duration of this express warranty.
For commercial applications, we specifically disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose.

Local Laws May Vary

Some jurisdictions do not allow limits on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations might not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights.
