Precautions and Guidelines

How PECAT thinking about consumers safety

At PECAT, safety is our top priority. To protect families and comply with Australian regulations, we ensure that all our button and coin batteries meet the latest safety standards introduced by the Australian Government. These standards, effective from June 22, 2022, aim to minimize the risks associated with these batteries in everyday use. The key safety measures include:
  • Child-Resistant Packaging to prevent easy access by children.
  • Clear Safety Warnings to alert users to potential hazards.
  • Prominent Front-of-Pack Warning Symbols for quick identification.
  • Detailed Back-of-Pack Warnings including the message “Keep Out of Reach of Children.”

Additionally, lithium coin batteries with a diameter of 20mm or larger must feature the “Keep out of reach of children” symbol directly on the battery.
As of March 1, PECAT has implemented robust tracking systems for all our stock. This ensures full compliance with safety requirements while providing peace of mind to our customers.
